Formula SAE
We are Bronco Motorsports, Cal Poly Pomona's Formula SAE Team. What is FSAE? An international competition that challenges collegiate teams to design, engineer, and race their very own open-wheel race car. As a leading American squad, our members spend hundreds of hours applying their classroom expertise in creating a cutting-edge formula car. Aside from the vast amounts of experiential learning, we also have the privilege of interacting with industry experts and battling with some of the finest schools from Michigan to Germany. Team alumni have gone on to achieve greatness at SpaceX, NASA JPL, Porsche, and more. If you have a knack for perfection and love going fast, this is the place for you.
Baja SAE
Baja SAE takes part in a Collegiate Design Series competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers. Our team of students design, manufacture and build an off-roading vehicle to compete against universities worldwide. Baja provides exposure to the full-length engineering design process, where you can apply concepts you learn in the classroom, learn/apply industry level techniques and gain direct hands-on experience. This way you can build a resume that stands strong amongst fellow engineers. By joining the team, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply nearly every single concept covered by the mechanical engineering degree and more.
